GREGORY HILTON  

Greg Hilton practices primarily domestic relations and criminal law. He has extensive experience in complex divorce litigation involving child custody, marital property and alimony. Additionally, he is a skilled criminal lawyer with experience ranging from simple traffic matters through complex jury trials. He is also experienced in administrative law and appellate advocacy.

Greg received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in political science in 1987 from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Following his undergraduate studies Greg was commissioned an officer in the United States Navy where he served as a division officer onboard USS Richmond K. Turner (CG-20) a guided missile cruiser. While onboard Richmond K. Turner he participated in operations in the Persian Gulf during the war between Iran and Iraq, as well as drug interdiction operations in the Caribbean, humanitarian relief efforts following Hurricane Hugo in Charleston, South Carolina, and preparations for deployment to the Persian Gulf War. Greg continues to serve in the Naval Reserve where he has attained the rank of Commander.

Greg received his Juris Doctorate degree in 1995 from the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. While at Catholic University of America Greg was active in Moot Court competitions, served as a writing assistant on the rewrite of a law school text on federal litigation, and was a teaching assistant for the writing and advocacy program. Mr. Hilton has been admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the District of Maryland and the Court of Appeals of Maryland.

Following his law school graduation, Mr. Hilton served as the law clerk to the Honorable C. Philip Nichols, Jr., Associate Judge of the Circuit Court for Prince George's County during the 1995-1996 term. Mr. Hilton was an associate with Shaffer & Solomon, P.A., a general practice firm in Greenbelt, Maryland, from 1996 through 1999.
